Investigators opened a criminal case against acting chief of police of the St. Petersburg linear Department of internal Affairs on transport of the Novel Frolov, who according to investigators received a bribe from the employee of Russian Railways for the shelter, said Thursday the regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee.

Earlier, a source in law enforcement bodies reported to RIA Novosti that Frolov was detained when receiving a bribe. According to the source, Frolov received a bribe from the businessman, who promised his patronage.

According to investigators, on Thursday at one of the houses on the Moscow prospectus, Frolov received from an employee of the Railways a bribe of 250 thousand rubles for General patronage, after which he was detained by the FSB.

«The investigating authorities of the TFR in St. Petersburg opened a criminal case against the Roman Frolov, acting chief of police St. Petersburg LUVDT, police Colonel on signs of the crime provided by part 5 of article 290 of the criminal code (receiving a bribe)», — stated in the message.

Now with Frolov conducted investigations, the issue of arrest and presentation of charges against him.
