The head of the Council of Muftis of Russia (SMR) Ravil Gainutdin, held in the Moscow Cathedral mosque «janaza prayer» – memorial prayer for all those who died during the crash of Tu-154 over the Black sea, reported the press service of the CMP.

Traditionally, Friday for Muslims is a special prayer day for which believers spend in mosques.

«Together with the spiritual leader of Muslims of Russia at the Moscow Cathedral mosque prayed for the relatives of the victims,» said the Council of Muftis. In addition, in the prayer hall during the Friday prayers was attended by the Turkish Ambassador to the Russian Federation Hussein Dirioz, Ambassador of Afghanistan Dr. Abdul qayyum Kuchai and a counselor of the Embassy, said in a press release.

On Sunday morning the Tu-154 of the Ministry of defense sent to Syria from Moscow, crashed in the Black sea shortly after refueling in Sochi.
