Doping Commission of the International ski Federation (FIS) has upheld the temporary suspension of six Russian skiers, reported on the official website of the Federation.

It is noted that the members of the Commission examined the written explanations of the skiers and the FIS response, then took a unanimous decision to reject the appeal of athletes. About the reasons which guided the Commission, the Russians will be reported in the prescribed manner.

Previously, FIS suspension from international tournaments of the Russian skiers Yevgeny Belov, Yulia Ivanova, Aleksandra passenger cars, Yevgeny Shapovalov, Alexey Petukhov and Maxim Vylegzhanin. The reason for this was the report of the independent Commission of the world anti-doping Agency under the leadership of Richard McLaren of the situation with doping at the Olympics-2014 in Sochi.

Federation of ski races of Russia reported that the investigation initiated in respect of the six skiers, for mechanical damages of tubes with doping samples.

Because of the decision of the FIS Belov, Legkov and Shapovalov miss a stage race «Tour de Ski», which begins on Saturday.
