The international Association of athletics federations (IAAF) rejected the submission of the Russian athletes Anna Krylova, Anastasia Kalina, Alexandra gulyayeva, Denis Lukyanov, Evgenia Solovieva and Maxim Afonin for participation in international competitions, the official website of the all-Russian athletics Federation (vfla).

Russian athletes suspended, wfla, with the exception of the jumper in length Daria Kishineu, are unable to perform at the 2016 Olympics. While the IAAF confirmed the possibility of submitting individual applications to the Russians, which in the case of a positive decision will have the opportunity to play in international tournaments under a neutral flag. On Thursday the IAAF admitted to international competitions Angelica Sidorova (pole vault), Christina Sivkova (running) and Alexei Sokirko (hammer throw) and announced that applications of six of the Russians were rejected.

«At the moment refused to participate in the international competitions of six athletes: Anna Krylova, Anastasia Kalina, Alexander gulyayeva, Denis Lukyanov, Evgenia Solovieva and Maxim Afonin. The decision for the rest of the athletes whose applications have agreed on wfla, will be made by the Board of the IAAF before mid-March 2017», — stated in the message.

Krylov (triple jump), cranberry (women’s 1,500 m), Alexander Gulyaev (running at 800 m) won bronze medals in their disciplines at the championship of Russia on track and field athletics indoors which was held in February in Moscow. Lukyanov won silver at the Russian championship 2016 in the hammer throw. Tolkalina kernel Soloviev last year became the winner of winter and summer Championships of Russia, and in February he defended the title of champion in the room. Gold of the winter championship of Russia in the current year in the discipline the men have won Afonin.
