Scientists of the Siberian Federal University have developed a device that allows unmanned aerial vehicles to operate under the radar, the press service of the government of Krasnoyarsk region.

According to the developers, the existing barometric devices do not allow to obtain precise information about the altitude. Operators have remote control of the apparatus. Development of Krasnoyarsk allows flying and landing of the UAV in automatic mode at low altitude. The use of the device will significantly improve the quality aeroflotsky, to increase the efficiency of exploration.

«Young scientists of the Siberian Federal University have developed a radio altimeter for unmanned aerial vehicles, which will allow to make flights at extremely low altitude — 10 meters», — stated in the message.

At the moment, the developers entered into an agreement with scientific-production enterprise «AWACS-geoservis», which will be created by experienced technical sample and the necessary test equipment. Upon completion of the work, the researchers plan to present the device to investors and companies involved in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles.
