Putin: the Siberian branch of the RAS implemented a new model of organization of science

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to the participants of the events dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, noting that in Siberia was implemented qualitatively new model of organization of science, the corresponding text is published on the Kremlin website.

«I congratulate you on the anniversary of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Six decades ago the creative genius of the founding fathers of the Department – M. A. Lavrentyev, S. A. Khristianovich, S. L. Sobolev in Siberia was implemented qualitatively new model of organization of science. Its essential principles is the comprehensive nature of the research, their close relationship with the training of highly qualified personnel and a focus on practical results», — the telegram says.

In his congratulatory message the President said that the progressive approach inherent to the Siberian branch of RAS, contributed to the formation in the East of Russia «a powerful scientific center, achievement of which is largely determined by effective development of key sectors of the domestic economy and especially geological exploration, oil and gas industry, energy, military-industrial complex».

«It is gratifying that today you are continuing the glorious traditions of the predecessors, their creative work contribute to the strengthening of the enormous potential of the largest regional branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Russian science as a whole», — said Putin.

He wished the participants of the solemn event of success and all the best.
