The Venezuelan foreign Ministry said after a telephone conversation of presidents of Russia Vladimir Putin and Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro said that Russia is ready to supply a Latin American country every month thousands of tonnes of wheat for the baking industry.

«The Russian President expressed readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation aimed at implementation of projects in the field of investment, trade and military-technical cooperation with a focus on agriculture and industry. Russia guarantees the delivery of several thousand tonnes of wheat per month in the trading relations of our countries», — reads the statement of the Venezuelan foreign Ministry.

Later, the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, speaking on national television, clarified that we are talking about approximately 60 thousand tons of Russian wheat per month, which will be supplied to the South American country.

As reported by the Kremlin Thursday, Putin discussed with the President the situation on the oil market, including in the context of the implementation of agreements on the adjustment of production. The parties also discussed topical issues of Russian-Venezuelan strategic partnership and mutually beneficial projects in various fields.
