Russia wanted the black sea economic cooperation (BSEC) was an economic organization, free from political discussions, said Deputy foreign Minister Vasily Nebenzia on the sidelines of the jubilee summit of the BSEC in connection to the 25th anniversary of the organization in Istanbul.

Sunday held a meeting of foreign Ministers of BSEC countries, and on Monday will meet the heads of state and government of the countries-participants of the organization. Russia will be represented by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. During the summit, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Binali Yildirim will hold a series of bilateral meetings. In particular, the planned talks between Yildirim and Medvedev.

«We want the BSEC was an economic, not a political organization, free from political debates that divide the country. Want it, on the contrary, they were together. Tomorrow at the summit we will discuss the path the organization for 25 years. We are practically family, constantly meet and communicate. Today we held a meeting of foreign Ministers, of Course, there were pointed questions. Now the approval of the Declaration of the jubilee session in the afternoon will be a meeting of the working group on the draft. Of course, countries have their own interests and their concerns. The Declaration is the consensus, and it should therefore be adopted by all countries. For Russia it is important to reflect the role of the BSEC, which she played in the past and supplied the correct orientations for the future» — said Nebenzia told reporters.

The black sea economic cooperation organization is an intergovernmental organization uniting 12 States of black sea region and Southern Balkans. Founded in 1992. The headquarters of the organization located in Istanbul.
