Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Istanbul, where he will participate in the summit of member countries of the black sea economic cooperation (BSEC).

As reported previously in the government of the Russian Federation, it is expected that on may 22, Medvedev will meet with Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim.

In addition, it is expected that on the sidelines of the summit, Medvedev will talk with President of Moldova Igor Dodon.

Also, the Russian Prime Minister will visit the Russian Consulate General in Istanbul, where he will participate in the opening of the memorial, Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Turkey Andrei Karlov, who was killed on 19 December 2016.

In addition, the Russian delegation will include Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and energy Minister Alexander Novak.

In the summit dedicated to the 25th anniversary of BSEC, will also be attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos, President of Moldova Igor Dodon, the Prime Minister of Romania Sorin Grindeanu, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

The focus will be the selection of projects for their further implementation in the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency, green technologies, development of small and medium entrepreneurship, improvement of regional and municipal infrastructure, increasing the export potential of the States of the region and more.

Earlier, the press service of the Russian government reported that in the agenda of the summit was to review the organization is facing challenges, including expansion of practical cooperation member countries, including the development of cross-border highway, marine and energy infrastructure.
