The Commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova believes that the court sentence the blogger Ruslan Sokolovsky, «catching pokemon» in the Church that are not entirely correct and leaves questions.

«I think this sentence (about an atheistic statement – ed.) first, you need to look around the context. And I think that the judge was referring to the insulting phrase, which together with those phrases were used, which can not reproduce… But this is wrong because the sentence should not no doubt cause that they are actually offensive,» — said Moskalkova, the TV channel «Russia-24».

Formerly known journalist Vladimir Pozner, commenting on the sentence «pokemon catcher» Ruslan Sokolovsky, asked whether it violates the criminal code, stating that he is an atheist, do not insult the religious feelings of the Patriarch Kirill. As quoted by judge Posner, insulting the feelings of believers was formed, «through the denial of the existence of God, denial of existence of the founder of Christianity and Islam, Jesus Christ and Muhammad.»

Judge of the constitutional court of the Russian Federation Gadis Hajiyev gave a comment to RIA Novosti, which said that atheism is beyond the scope of freedom of religion, guaranteed by the Russian Constitution, and does not entail criminal responsibility.
