The French rider crashed at speed of 370 km/h

French racer Sebastien Bourdais was involved in a serious accident during the qualifying stage of the race the Indy 500. It is reported Fox Sports.

The accident was caught on video. The video shows how Bourdais, lost control, crashed into the wall on the turn. His car flipped several times and lights.

According to Fox Sports to pull the driver from the car rescuers took 10 minutes. The he didn’t lose consciousness during the accident or during transport to the hospital.

According to doctors, Bourdais broke his pelvis in several places. Also he was diagnosed with a right femur fracture.

The driver was operated on in a hospital in Indiana, his condition is not reported, however, according to team owner Dale Coyne Racing Dale Coyne, Bourdais «in good hands».
