The number of people applying to medical institution after tick bites has decreased as of may 19 1.4 times compared to the same period last year, amounting to 93 504 persons, have informed in a press-service of Rospotrebnadzor.

«As of may 19, 2017 in medical organizations asked 93504 man about sucking ticks, which corresponds to the mean annual levels below 1.4 times compared to the same period last year», — stated in the message.

It is noted that the Agency is working towards prevention of infections transmitted by tick bites.

«Before the season, with the participation of Rospotrebnadzor specialists at Federal and regional television channels broadcast more than 1280 subjects, published more than 3100 informational messages to prevent the spread of infections transmitted by insect bites, published more than 280 thousand of the monuments», — added in the release.
