The General Prosecutor’s office did not find evidence of a conflict of interest with the head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert reported on the website of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

The Russian division of the anti-corruption organization Transparency International on 17 may received a reply from the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation on request of a possible violation of the anti-corruption law prohibitions and restrictions the head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert.

«As a result of consideration of the application of Transparency International, the General Prosecutor’s office has found violations of the ban on the participation of Sergei Alekseyevich Dankvert in the activities of businesses because of shares in the authorized capital societies transferred to the trust management in accordance with the law», — stated in the message.

The relevant information is posted on the website of Transparency International and supported by a copy of the response of the Prosecutor General, indicates the Rosselkhoznadzor.

It is also reported that the Prosecutor-General considers that the decision of the Rosselkhoznadzor is to impose temporary restrictions on supplies to Russia of beef and beef by-products from the enterprises of Minsk and Minsk region is not aimed at limiting competition among agricultural producers and the creation of separate preferences of a specific organization.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on 3 February proposed to initiate a criminal case against Dankvert for allegedly preventing supply of Belarusian foodstuffs to the Russian Federation. After a few days of the interior Ministry of Belarus said that holds a number of pre-investigation checks against the officials of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

The Rosselkhoznadzor February 6, introduced temporary restrictions on the supply of beef and beef by-products of the enterprises of Minsk region, suspecting them of re-export from Ukraine. Previously, the Agency imposed temporary restrictions and additional requirements for the supply of four meat processing plants of Belarus due to gross violations of veterinary legislation.
