Visa-free regime with EU for Ukraine will take effect from June 11, announced the EU delegation in Kiev.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that the decision to grant Ukrainian citizens the right to visa-free travel to the EU published on Monday in the official journal of the EU. It will enter into force 20 days later on the night of 11 June. The European Parliament vote on visa abolition for Ukraine took place on 6 April 2017, the EU Council followed the may 11, took a similar decision. The European Union has the right to stop the visa-free regime with Ukraine in case of problems with migration and security. To cross the border of the European Union, citizens of Ukraine need a biometric passport. The border guards can demand a number of additional documents, in particular the objectives of the trip and availability of funds.
