Saudi authorities after a number of tragic incidents during the Hajj has made findings and has improved its organization, so that the undertaken measures will allow to ensure security, including the Russian pilgrims, said RIA Novosti Director General of «Hajj Fund» (the official organizer of the pilgrimage from tsdum) Tagir Ismagilov.

In 2017, Saudi Arabia has increased the quota for Hajj for Muslims from Russia by 25% to 20.5 thousand (16.4 thousand last year). The pilgrims will fly to the Holy sites of Mecca and Medina in the summer, and will be completed Hajj after Eid al-Adha, which this year falls on September 1.

The event was attended by thousands of Muslims from all over the country.
