The Russian special services and law enforcement agencies are ready to provide the UK with all available information necessary for the investigation of the explosion at the stadium in Manchester, despite the fact that the UK was the first country that refused to cooperate with Russia on intelligence matters, said RIA Novosti Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Viktor Ozerov.

On Monday evening in concert hall «Manchester arena», according to preliminary reports, the attack took place. The first calls to emergency response from concert-goers arrived at 22.35 (00.35 GMT), a little later, eyewitnesses reported in social networks about the two «claps similar to explosions» at the stadium. According to police, 19 people were killed and about 50 were injured. This is the largest terrorist attack in Britain after the tragedy on the London underground in 2005, which killed more than 50 people.

«We have repeatedly said, although the UK was the first country which refused to cooperate with us on intelligence matters that we are willing to share any available information. And now, of course, too,» — said Ozerov.

According to him, «unfortunately, what happened in Manchester» was a lesson the British intelligence that without the help of other countries, their work can falter».

Putting that incident at the stadium in Manchester «in all ways like a terrorist attack», the Senator noted that this once again confirms that there are no countries that could protect themselves from such.

«The terrorist attack in Manchester is another signal to the fact that all over the world heard the words of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin about necessity of creation of a United anti-terrorist front, which would act on the General rules and not on the principle of double standards», — says the head of the Federation Council Committee.

According to him, otherwise any differences of the countries leading counter-terrorism activities, will be used by the terrorists to commit such acts.

«Condolences to all who suffered or lost loved ones in Manchester,» — said Ozerov.
