Russian schoolchildren have won 9 special awards at the international competition of scientific and engineering projects at Intel ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair), held from 14 to 19 may in Los Angeles (USA). The competition was attended by 1770 students from 70 countries.
The work of Alexandra Samoylova and Maria Makarova from Moscow Chemical Lyceum won second prize in the specialty «Chemistry», first prize in the honorary research society «Sigma Xi» and the fourth prize of the American chemical society.

The fourth award of the American chemical society also earned Herman Centioni and Olga Ustimenko from the Moscow chemical Lyceum.
Savely Novikov of the Moscow school 564 he won fourth prize in the category «Mathematics» and the second prize of the American mathematical society. Third prize of the American mathematical society took Dmitry Mikhaylovskiy and Egor Morozov.
The first prize of China Association for science and Technology has received Valery Lebedev from the Moscow Gymnasium №5.
International Science and Engineering Fair – the world review-competition of scientific and engineering achievements of pupils. This contest is held for more than 60 years and attracts participants from many countries of the world. His prestige is very high, the jury consists of scientists from leading world universities and scientific organizations, including Nobel laureates and fields medals.
