Populist talk about the refusal of the preventive disconnect hot water (DHW) in the summer threatened by the lack of heat for an indefinite period in winter, said in an interview to corporate magazine «Gazprom energoholding» Denis Fedorov.

«Frivolous populist, from my point of view, the statement «and let’s not interrupt the hot water supply» lead to the actual unavailability of the thermal grid complex for the autumn-winter maximum. The population, of course, «for». That’s just the experience shows: if the summer not to carry out hydraulic tests, you get a lot of problems in winter,» he said.

During the summer testing of the heating system the energy pumped into the heating cold water, raising the pressure to identify weak spots. Today, according to Fedorov, there is no more reliable ways of preparing thermal management for winter.

«If people have reliable heat in the winter, unfortunately, have to endure a relatively minor inconvenience in summer. Another thing is that you can reduce the period of disconnection of hot water from two weeks to one. Our company is working on this right now,» said he.

OOO «Gazprom energy» (100% subsidiary of Gazprom) is the owner of the controlling stakes of Mosenergo, TGK-1 and OGK-2, MIPC, including more than 80 power plants with installed capacity of approximately 39 GW (about 17% of the installed capacity throughout the Russian power industry). Finnish Fortum Power and Heat Oy owns 29.45% of the shares of TGK-1, block share holding «Mosenergo» belongs to the Moscow government.
