The presidents of Turkey and France Tayyip Erdogan and Emmanuel macron were discussed at the talks in Brussels to break the impasse, which came the relations between the EU and Turkey, said on Thursday Anadolu Agency, citing a source in the administration of the President.

Erdogan met with the Macron on the sidelines of the NATO summit. Closed meeting, which was also attended by Turkish foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, lasted for 45 minutes.

According to the Agency, the parties discussed during the meeting, the situation in Syria, Iraq and other regional issues. They noted the importance of cooperation in the fight against all terrorist groups, including ISIS (banned in Russia) and the forbidden in Turkey Kurdistan workers ‘ party.

Erdogan and macron agreed that the trade turnover between Turkey and France should be increased to 20 billion euros.
