The Libyan national army under the leadership of Marshal Khalifa the Haftarot captured air force base Taminant in the South of the country controlled by Pro-government in Tripoli, orders, reports Agence France Presse with reference to military Haftarot.

Haftar does not recognize the national consensus government of Libya in Tripoli and independently directs the army from the Eastern regions of the country. Earlier in may, the UAE hosted the negotiations in which the Haftarot and the head of the government in Tripoli FEZ as-Sarraj reached some agreements, however, clashes of the armed forces of the two sides has not stopped.

«Our forces… fully seized control over the airbase Taminant in the South of Libya», — said the Agency press-attache of the national army of the Caliph al-Obeidi.

As he said, the airbase was under the control of loyal Tripoli groups called «Third force», but the military Haftorah in recent days has surrounded it and shelled. On Thursday, the military forced troops to evacuate from the base and took it without a fight.
