Petty-bourgeois court of Moscow will hold oral hearings on the case of the former head of the library of Ukrainian literature Natalia Sharina, accused of extremism and embezzlement, told RIA Novosti lawyer Ivan Pavlov.

At this stage of the trial, the Prosecutor will call the punishment which considers fair for the defendant. Then turn to speak will go to the defense. After the conclusion of the debate and the last word of the defendant the judge will retire to the deliberation room for sentencing, tentatively titled the date of its promulgation.

In October last year, the library and the apartment Sharina were searched. Investigators found the book, recognized as extremist. Sharina charged with extremism and embezzlement.

Also, Sharina, according to investigators, humiliated a group of people on a national basis and whipping up hatred or hostility to the specified group, using his official position. According to the Prosecutor, she organized the possibility of obtaining and familiarizing the General public with literature, recognized as extremist by the court. This literature includes the book «Famine in Ukraine», 1996 edition, the poetry of Dmytro Pavlychko, a children’s illustrated magazine «periwinkle».

In total, the charges appear about 25 books, experts, as noted by the lawyer, each of them are found fragments of an extremist. In particular, Pavlov called the book of Dmitry Korchinsky «War in crowd». The lawyer said earlier that this book, no library stamp, so he suggested that «she and several other books could be thrown-in».

Sharina held under house arrest, a term which in recent times was extended till 28 APR 2017.
