On the outer surface of the International space station may be the microorganisms with extraterrestrials, told reporters Friday in a press-service of the Roscosmos.

«Specialists of the Institute the Institute in the course of space experiment «Test» determined that the ISS surface may be a temporary guardian of the biomaterial of extraterrestrial origin, and the station itself is a versatile tool ekzobiologicheskih research,» — said the press service.

It is noted that the experiment Test is conducted on the ISS since 2010. Only Russian cosmonauts have collected during spacewalks with 19 samples of dust from the surface of the station. Samples were delivered to the Ground regularly, which gave the possibility to obtain more data on the chemical and biological composition of cosmic dust.

To determine the origin of the microorganisms on the surface of the station and find out, «hit» they are on station during the Assembly of structural elements on the Ground or from space, will take considerable time, say scientists at the Institute.

Analysis of amino acids located on the surface of the station, based on the analysis of correlation in their composition of carbon isotopes in samples of cosmic origin, usually present more of heavy carbon 13C, while in «earth» — easy 12C.

«However, the task isotopic analysis difficult, as samples of the substance of the comet falling to the surface of the ISS, small and standard methods do not yield quick results. The solution to this problem now the work of Russian specialists», — stated in the message.
