Talking about the extension school course «Basics of religious cultures and secular ethics» (ORKSE) is, but the final decision will be made after several years of testing, reported Friday Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva.

The Russian Orthodox Church has initiated the extension of the course ORKSE. Today this subject is taught in the 4th grade.

«Talk about what then really is, the program is being prepared. The first (trial) class, 4 class, we piloted several years. Also will be testing some time further courses, the fifth and sixth several years of testing and then a decision will be made on the introduction of advanced this hour for all the rest», — said Vasilyev on radio «Moscow speaking» in response to the question about the prospects of the extension of the course ORKSE.

The course «Basics of religious cultures and secular ethics» (ORKSE), introduced in 2012 across Russia for students of the fourth grade includes the study of the choice of basics of Orthodox, Islamic, Buddhist or Jewish cultures. In addition, the desire to learn the basics of all the world religious cultures or secular ethics. The course ORKSE studied throughout the 4th class rate of one hour per week.
