The Deputy of the state Duma from the party «Rodina» Alexey Zhuravlev proposes to toughen the penalties for those who ignore parliamentary inquiries.

«In the next week of meetings, prepare the draft amendment,» said Zhuravlev RIA Novosti.

The Deputy explained that such decision was based, including, in connection with his request to the head of Sberbank German Gref, at which the MP asked to explain the reasons why to date the Bank has opened branches in Crimea and Sevastopol. The MP drew attention that the current legislation provides for the necessity of urgent response to a parliamentary inquiry and, if necessary, additional materials not later than 30 days from the date of receipt of the appeal.

«Unfortunately, the sanction for violation of this provision of law provides for the ridiculous – a penalty of from one to two thousand rubles… So I will make a proposal to toughen penalties on this article», — said Zhuravlev.
