One of the priorities of Moscow — in a constructive dialogue with Washington depend on the resolution of problems in Syria and the fight against international terrorism, and we need to make a choice — whether to extend the tension or start climbing from the lowest point in relations, said the Russian presidential aide Igor Levitin.

«The world is in a dangerous state. The situation has reached a worsening of relations between Russia and the West, and from the experts it depends on how they are resolved. All the problems can not be solved, but need step by step to move away from a dangerous level,» — said Levitin at the conference of the Baltic forum, which was held on Saturday in Latvia.

He stressed that Russia supports a dialogue with the West and one of the priorities of Moscow is a constructive dialogue with Washington.

«From this dialogue depends on the resolution of problems and Syria and the Middle East, and combating international terrorism, and other issues. You need to make a choice — to deepen tensions or to start the ascent from the lowest point in relations between Russia and the West, which we achieved,» — said Levitin.

The conference of the Baltic forum held annually in Latvia. In 2017, it was held in the house of the blackheads in Riga.
