The Prime Minister of the Bolshoi theatre Denis Rodkin said in an interview with RIA Novosti that Russian ballet, in his opinion, is distinguished not only high technology, but also the acting skills of the dancers.

«Russian Seasons» – the continuation of traditions established in the early XX century, Sergei Diaghilev, launched in February. In the framework of the project best performances of the Russian groups will be shown in Japan and the far Eastern region of Russia. The Ministry of culture plans to undertake during the year more than 200 events in more than 45 cities of Japan. The Bolshoi ballet opens this year’s «Russian Seasons» in Japan. May 4 will be the first performances of «Giselle», where the main roles, Svetlana Zakharova and Rodkin.

«The Japanese audience loved our ballet and always particularly appreciated the emotional performance, acting skills of Russian dancers. This is what distinguishes the Russian ballet, and it is necessary, I think, to move in this direction», — said Rodkin.

From the point of view of technology, according to the artist, today, it is difficult to surprise someone.

«As for acting, dance, «full of soul», here we are out of reach, he stressed. But, of course, we cannot forget technique. After all, the Russian school just and is famous for its combination of high technology and start acting».
