Twenty-six of 34 houses in the village of Berezovka in Yakutia, flooded by high water, freed from water over the weekend, said on Monday GUMCHS of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

Earlier it was reported that due to the spring flooding of the river Kolyma and its tributaries in the Srednekolymsk district of Yakutia was flooded part of the village of Berezovka. The water was 34 homes and seven social objects. More than 100 residents of flooded homes are placed with relatives and in temporary accommodation. Friday began the decline of water. The Board of administration of srednekolymskiy district began to assess the damage.

«As of 12.00 (06.00 GMT) on may 29 in Berezovka remain flooded eight houses», — reported in the media.

It is noted that on-site srednekolymskiy, verkhnekolymskiy district and the city of Yakutsk work of the operative group GUMCHS the Republic, which monitor the situation on the rivers. Currently, water levels at the settlements do not exceed critical.

In GUMCHS organized duty of the interagency working group for planning of flood control measures and monitoring the passage of spring floods and summer floods in rivers of the Republic.
