Tyumen plant «Stekloteh» — the only high-tech enterprise for production of glass containers in the Urals, has launched a pilot production of bottles with a rope stopper. Formerly, this type of glass mainly supplied to Russia from abroad, in the Urals such work is started for the first time, reported RIA Novosti employee of the press service of the Governor of the region.

According to him, the new packaging is developed in the framework of import-substitution as the replacement for the European, and for the buyer it will cost three to four times cheaper than foreign production. Glass containers intended for dispensing beverages in the premium segment. The plant expects an order for five million bottles with a rope stopper.

«Highly skilled, productive work of industry experts are a powerful Foundation for development of Tyumen and the Russian industry, raising the level of import substitution and export potential of the economy», — said the Governor of Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev.

Plant «Stekloteh» produces glass containers for any alcohol, alcoholic and soft drinks, canned and other products. The production capacity of the plant is 300 million units of glass per year.
