The Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that there are no facts confirming the accusations of Russia in violation of the rights of LGBT people or intervention in the Affairs of other countries.

«We do not see any concrete fact nor, about hackers, about any kind of secret Affairs to intervene in the elections of almost all the countries of the Western world, no issue which relates to allegations of violation of the rights of LGTB in Chechnya or other parts of the Russian Federation. Not a single concrete fact,» he said at a press conference in Moscow.

«If there are facts, will the names, and our answers will then be specific. But, once again, irrelevant to the overwhelming number of accusations, we do not have. But if there’s anything specific, then please present the facts,» the Minister added.

In the beginning of April, «Novaya Gazeta» has published an article which said about the mass detention in Chechnya residents based on sexual orientation. Press Secretary of the head of Chechnya, Alvi Karimov denied the information of the newspaper, and the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov, said that no reason not to trust the information about the absence of any persecution of gays presented by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in the course of communication with the President Vladimir Putin.
