Belarus and Russia are preparing an international Treaty that will regulate the question of the possibility of migration control at the joint border, said Tuesday the head of the Department on citizenship and migration of the interior Ministry of Belarus Alyaksei Byahun.

«We are in the framework of interstate cooperation are preparing a draft international agreement which will regulate the possibility of staging or lack of control on the Belarusian-Russian border. We assume that this issue will be definitely and irrevocably settled,» said Runner during the online conference.

Commenting on the actions of Russia on strengthening of immigration control, he said that «if Russia wants to strengthen some aspects of migration control, it is their right».

In February in Belarus began to operate a five-day visa-free entry for citizens of 80 countries, including the United States and the European Union. The presidential decree establishes visa-free entry via the national airport Minsk.

The decision affects the interests of Russia, because in the framework of the Union state, there is a regime of free movement, and the foreigners who arrived without visas to Belarus, can illegally enter the Russian territory.

On the official portal of legal information of Russia was published three orders of the FSB, from which it follows that at the border with Belarus created a border zone in the Pskov, Smolensk and Bryansk regions. In addition, in may flights to Russia from Belarus and decreasing in the opposite direction, transferred to the international terminal.
