Prime Minister Narendra modi held talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and stressed the need for unity of the European Union, is spoken in the message of office of the government of India.

Merkel and modi also discussed the issue of the national reconciliation process in Afghanistan, emphasizing that the process should be led by the Afghan people themselves. In addition, the two leaders discussed terrorism, climate change, and also tackled the problem of the Chinese initiative «One belt and One road», the statement reads.
