In Moscow detained a suspect in the murder of lawyer previously participated in a criminal group, told reporters on Tuesday the senior assistant to the head of a capital Central Board SK of Russia Yulia Ivanova.

Lawyer Natalia Vavilina was shot the evening of 26 April in the house on altufevsky highway. As stated by RIA Novosti in the bar «Delphi», where she worked during the life of Vavilina not received any threats. On the eve it became known about detention of the suspect in the murder.

According to Ivanova, 42-year-old Marat Yanbukhtin, «was previously an active participant of one of Moscow’s criminal groups.» He is charged with murder and illegal arms trafficking. The prosecution demands to sign him under arrest.

About possible motives of the crime are not reported.

As noted in the Federal chamber of lawyers, Vavilina was the seventh lawyer, killed in Russia over the past two years. In total since 2001 were killed 45 lawyers, with the majority of crimes are still not disclosed, said in the AFP.
