More than 30 children took out a Mi-8 helicopter of Khabarovsk air rescue center of EMERCOM of Russia affected by the flooding of the village of Berezovka in Yakutia, further they are sent on a holiday in the resort of Yakutsk and Krasnodar territory, informs GUMCHS of Russia in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

Earlier it was reported that due to the spring flooding of the river Kolyma and its tributaries in the Srednekolymsk district of Yakutia was flooded part of the village of Berezovka. The water was 34 homes and seven social objects. More than 100 residents flooded homes, including children, relocated to relatives in temporary accommodation. Friday began the decline of water.

«Rescuers on Mi-8 helicopter was delivered to the city Srednekolymsk 34 children from the village of Berezovka, where a week ago there was a flooding of parts of residential houses. The government of Yakutia it was decided to provide a summer vacation for all school-age children from four towns srednekolymskiy district. They will rest this summer in children’s camps and sanatoria of Yakutsk and Krasnodar Krai. From Srednekolymsk in the coming days the children will be delivered to Yakutsk», — stated in the message.

It is noted that the emergency workers were also taken to the village Berezovka 1.5 tons of cargo for various purposes: food, medicines, disinfectants, tents and generator.

It is reported that in the village of Berezovka continues to be a gradual drop in water level, the situation stabiliziruemost. Currently remain flooded eight houses. The village has operational group EMERCOM of Russia in the region, monitoring of the hydrological environment, assistance to the population. The Board of administration of srednekolymskiy district began to assess the damage.
