The Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky and the Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Russia, Pankaj Saran signed a program of cultural exchanges between the ministries of both countries in the framework of St. Petersburg international economic forum (SPIEF), which will be held from 31 may to 3 June.

«The first of June in the state complex «Palace of Congresses» will be the signing of cultural exchange Programmes between the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of culture of the Republic of India for 2017-2019. The program will be a good basis for the development of theatre, ballet, circus, exhibition exchanges, cooperation in the field of cinema», — said the press service.

The Ministry clarified that the programme envisages the holding of the festival of Russian culture in India in 2018. The signing ceremony was timed to the visit to Russia of Prime Minister of India Narendra modi, who will take part in SPIEF.
