Center for strategic research (CSR) offers starting from 2019 annually increase in Russia the retirement age for six months, until 63 for women and 65 years for men, the expected increase in life expectancy in countries to 76 years, from the presentation of the strategy of economic development of the Russian Federation 2018-2024 years, prepared by CSR, which is available to RIA Novosti.

In the framework of SPIEF-2017 it is planned to debate how to shape the agenda of the Russian economy. The head of the Board Alexey Kudrin is the main author of one of the strategies to accelerate the growth of the Russian economy to the global average rate. On Tuesday, he presented the strategy to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

«Raising the age of appointment of insurance old-age pension on General grounds from 2019, for six months a year to 63 years for women and 65 years for men,» reads the document.

This measure, by calculations of its authors, will increase the size of pensions in Russia in real terms by 2024 30%. The replacement ratio (i.e. the ratio of the average insurance old-age pension to the average salary) will remain at the level not lower 34%. According to calculations of the authors of the strategy, the average insurance pension when raising the retirement age will amount to 1.85 subsistence minimum of a pensioner (PMP) by 2024, and 2.33 PMP — by 2035.

Estimated to CSR, the proportion of the working age population in Russia in 2019 will amount to 55%, over working age, and 28% (for comparison: in 1989 the share of population over working age was 19%). Thus, in 2019 two working Russians will account for one pensioner.

The working population of Russia in 2030 will decrease compared to 2015 year to 10.1 million people aged 20-39 years and age 40-59 years – on the contrary, will grow by 3.2 million people.
