The representative of Latvia Jelena Ostapenko beat the Romanian tennis player Simon Halep in the final of «Roland Garros».

Ostapenko on Saturday defeated the third-seeded Halep with the score 4:6, 6:4, 6:3. The rivals have met on the court for 2 hours. For Ostapenko, which on June 8 was 20 years old, this was the first win not only the Grand slam tournaments, but tournaments WTA.

Ostapenko became the first tennis player from Latvia, won the Grand slam tournament in singles.
