Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev announced that he had signed the document on increase of requirements to the rules of allocating money from the budget for the maintenance and repair of roads of Federal importance.

«Requirements to such works rise to replacement of damaged areas was faster and more efficient, especially from the point of view of preservation of quality of roads. This will, hopefully, increase the interval between overhaul, will save money, according to calculations of the Ministry of transport, about 15 billion rubles a year. Let’s see what happens», — said Medvedev at a meeting on the issue of implementation of the project of construction of the Central ring road of Moscow region (TsKAD).

The Prime Minister said that this modern urban track, and he hopes that the move will be good. The first section of the CRR, he said, will be launched in the autumn, which is important not only for the development of road infrastructure, but also for social objectives, tourism and environmental conservation is one of the oldest cities in the Moscow region Zvenigorod.

«Part of the work has already been done. We just in a helicopter flew over the construction sites with colleagues, and we saw that really works are generally in accordance with the schedule,» he said.

«The project will significantly increase the capacity of the Moscow transport hub that is important – not overloading the megalopolis itself, will be a significant part of transit flows and all related services beyond the capital», — said Medvedev.

The Prime Minister said that CRR should be the basis for the development of a number of small and medium enterprises: gas stations, repair stations, cafes, restaurants, hotels. He stressed that the government expects the initiative of entrepreneurs and the corresponding support from banks.

«I am confident that the emergence of such a route would strengthen the position of the Moscow region as a major international hub, conveniently located at the intersection of global routes: East — West, North-South and the new silk road. In parallel, we are developing the railway, river and air transport infrastructure of Moscow site,» he added.

Medvedev recalled that the search for private co-investors of the project is completed: during the SPIEF, agreement was reached on the fourth section of the Central ring. «Today, we once again see what steps are necessary for the further development of the project as a whole will discuss the issue on a single operator, to avoid uncoordinated actions on different sections of the route», — said the head of the Cabinet.
