Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov at the meeting with his counterpart from Qatar’s Mohammad bin Abdurrahman al-Thani said that the two sides will continue dialogue on all topics that are of interest, including to discuss the recent tension in the Arab world.

«Today we will continue the dialogue between our countries on all issues of mutual interest. Of course, among these issues is the recent sharp aggravation of the situation in the Arab world,» said Lavrov during the meeting with al-Thani in Moscow.

«The announcement of this aggravation, on the steps taken by some Arab States to break off relations with Qatar we perceived with concern,» — said the Russian Minister.

Previously, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Egypt have announced the rupture of diplomatic relations with Qatar, accusing Doha of supporting terrorist organizations and destabilize the situation in the middle East. Power Eastern Libya, Yemen and the Maldives, Mauritania, Comoros subsequently also announced the severance of relations with Qatar. To reduce the level of diplomatic relations with Doha said in Djibouti. Senegal recalled its Ambassador in Qatar.
