DPRK leader Kim Jong-UN wrote to President of Russia Vladimir Putin a telegram on the occasion of Russia Day, which congratulated him and the entire people of the Russian Federation’s national holiday and wished the Russian leader «success in his responsible work to build powerful Russia and protect its security and interests.»

«Please accept my heartfelt congratulations to You and your people on the occasion of the national holiday of Russia Day. I believe that relations between our countries have a long history and traditions of friendship will be strengthened further within the framework of joint documents, which were approved by both parties, and the will of both peoples,» — said in the telegram, the text of which was released by the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (KCNA).

«I wish You success in your responsible work to build powerful Russia, to protect its security and interests in the welfare and prosperity of Your people», — underlined in the message.

One of the youngest state holiday — Russia Day — is celebrated in Russia on 12 June. On this day in 1990 the first Congress of people’s deputies of the RSFSR adopted the Declaration on state sovereignty of Russia, which proclaimed the supremacy of the Russian Constitution and its laws.
