The President of Russia Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, will be awarded the state prize for art, science and technology. Among the awarded composer Eduard Artemyev, choreographer Yuri Grigorovich and orientalist, Director of Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky.

Russian choreographer Yuri Grigorovich was awarded the State prize of the Russian Federation for outstanding contribution to the development of domestic and international choreographic art. He stated to RIA Novosti that grateful for the high appreciation of his work, which is also a demonstration of the government’s position in relation to ballet.

According to the choreographer, «Russian classical ballet is where we remain strong of the territory of our victories, and here is not acceptable no irony».

The General Director of the Hermitage Piotrovsky was awarded the prize for his contribution to the preservation of national and world cultural heritage. The Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko called the award gospremii recognition of the huge contribution Piotrovsky in the preservation of national and world cultural heritage. According to Poltavchenko, their work, the head of the Hermitage reinforces the image of St. Petersburg — the Museum capital of Russia.

Achievements in technology

In addition, the state prize in science and technology for the year 2016 will get Yuri Baturin, Vladimir Bogdanov and Anatoly nuryaev for the creation of a rational system of development of oil, petroleum and gas deposits of Western Siberia.

Writer Daniil Granin was awarded with the state prize for outstanding achievements in humanitarian activities.

Daniil Granin is a recognized classic of Russian literature. Began to be published in 1949. His works include the novels «the Searchers,» «Going to storm,»»,» novels and stories «Own opinion», «the place for the monument», «Unknown person».

The award was presented at the Konstantinovsky Palace in Strelna on June 3.

The head of state noted that Granin was the initiator of creation of the USSR’s first relief society in Leningrad, and now this movement has already involved tens of thousands of people.

In his works, according to Putin, Granin was thinking a lot about ethical and moral development of society, paying close attention to such human qualities as honesty and decency.
