The Polish defense Ministry on the basis of the material RIA Novosti asked the Prosecutor to check the previous activities of the Polish Commission on investigation of the catastrophe near Smolensk in 2010 the plane Tu-154 of President Lech Kaczynski, said in a statement on the official website of the military Department.

«In connection with the information available to the Commission for re-investigation of the accident, and published by the RIA Novosti news Agency interview with Alexey Morozov from the Interstate aviation Committee (IAC), in which he presented, in particular, the course of the crash of Tu-154 near Smolensk 10 April 2010, there is now justifiable doubt about the integrity and validity of the final report of the Commission on aircraft accident investigation civil Aviation, under the leadership of Edmund Klich, and then Jerzy Miller», — stated in the message.

As stated in the defense Ministry of Poland, «the findings of the Chairman of the technical Commission the POPPY on the course of events during the flight of the TU-154M on 10 April 2010, evidence and expertise were known to the members of the Commission during the drafting of the final report». «And despite this, as a description of the actual state and the conclusions expressed in the final report differed substantially from the findings of the MAC,» said the defense Ministry.

«Analysis of the above justifies the suspicion of bad faith, which could prevent members of the Polish Commission on investigation of causes of the aforementioned catastrophe, which could lead to the Commission of a crime against the activities of state institutions, justice or against the authenticity of the documents. From these considerations, the defense Ministry sends the case to clarify the Prosecutor’s office», — stated in the message.

Previously an interview with RIA Novosti the Chairman of the technical Commission the POPPY on investigation of the crash, Alexei Morozov, said that the Commission has not identified in the course of its investigation 2010-2011 impact on Board explosives. New Polish Commission which investigates circumstances of the accident near Smolensk, presented the first results of its work in September 2016. Experts said that the plane began to disintegrate in the air at 900 metres from the crash site, and registrars went missing last seconds of recordings.

The Commission allegedly failed to obtain access to the full versions of the records, which indicate that in the last seconds of flight the aircraft was rejected by the generator, the engine and the sensors read the height. The Minister of defence of Poland Anthony Macierewicz decided to declassify the documents related to the crash.
