A criminal case has been initiated against the attacker, rashpilevskaja tear gas in the face of law enforcement officers during an unsanctioned rally on 12 June in Moscow, the official representative SK the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko.

«The head Department on investigation of especially important cases of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on the fact of application of violence concerning the employee of Regardie» she said.

According to the investigation, on June 12 during an unauthorized rally on Tverskaya street one of its members sprayed tear gas into the eyes of the employee of OMON GU of Regardie in Moscow, in the performance of official duties. As a result, the militiaman received a burn of the eye, he was given medical assistance.

It is noted that the suspect is detained, the investigation is planning to charge him and decide the issue on election of a preventive measure. The criminal investigation continues.

According to the interior Ministry, inconsistent public action on Tverskaya street in Moscow was attended by about 4.5 thousand people, 150 people were arrested.

Previously a member of the presidential Council on human rights (HRC) Andrei Babushkin, who was present at the protest rallies in Moscow on Monday as a public observer, praised the actions of the police during the uncoordinated action on Tverskaya street as generally adequate.
