The Russian foreign Ministry confirmed that fans of the confederations Cup 2017 and FIFA world Cup 2018, having a ticket, do not need to apply for a Russian visa, said in an interview with RIA Novosti Director of the consular Department of the MFA of Russia Yevgeny Ivanov.

«To facilitate the entry of foreign fans on the territory of Russia in the period of sporting events of the FIFA confederations Cup 2017 and FIFA world Cup 2018 in the Russian legislation is amended in accordance with which to enter Russia, they will need a passport and a personalized map viewer (spectator) on paper. Consequently, the necessary visas from foreign fans will not be», — he said.

According to Ivanov, in the presence of a match ticket for the fan produced a map viewer, which is sent to him by mail or through the client group (the football Association, football clubs).

«Citizens of States with which Russia has a visa-free regime, get a spectator pass at inpatient centers in Russia. Detailed information is available on the portal www.fan-id.ru» — said Director of the consular Department.

He noted that the passport of the fan can be used for multiple entries into the territory of the Russian Federation during the period beginning ten days before the date of the first match and ending ten days after the date of the last match of these international sporting events.
