Turkey has provided Syrian refugees to visit their relatives during the Muslim Holy month of Ramadan, temporarily opening the border between the two countries, reports the Associated Press.

In 2015, Turkey officially closed its border with Syria to resolve the flow of refugees from that country. For the six years since the crisis in the neighboring country Turkey took more than three million Syrians. In addition, Turkey is building on the border wall.

According to the authorities of this country, their homes will visit about 30 thousand Syrians. According to the Agency, many refugees enthusiastically greeted the decision of the Turkish authorities. They will come back after Ramadan – Eid-al-Fitr (in Russia it is also called Eid al-Fitr).

«I in Syria has a younger brother, whom I never met,» he told AP, Ismail Hadidi Jafar.

The month of Ramadan is one of the most revered by Muslims and requires strict observance of lent. During Ramadan during all light time of day the faithful abstain from food, drink and entertainment. Eating is permitted before sunrise or after sunset. This year Ramadan lasts from may 27 to June 25.
