National Yakut festival of Ysyakh, the first held in Europe — in the Serbian town Burnout, told RIA Novosti the permanent representative of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) under the President of the Russian Federation Yury Kupriyanov.

«The organizer of the Serbian Ysyakh was the granddaughter of one of the founders of Yakut literature Larisa Kulakovskaya. As noted in a press-service of the government of the Republic, the first European Ysyakh was attended by several hundred people, among whom were not only yakutians living in Europe, but also local residents. In the continuation of cultural programs at the Center of culture and science in Serbia, known as the «Russian house», was presented a rich program, dubbed «the Day of Yakutia».

Serbian Ysyakh has continued a series past the holidays. Far Eastern Ysyakh was held in Khabarovsk on 3 June, Chinese in Beijing and Harbin on may 21, and June 24, yakutians will gather in Toronto. Also the Yakut’s festival will be held in the Moscow Park «Kolomenskoye», the guests who will be messengers of world Pole of cold — Verkhoyansk ulus.
