The transport complex of the Russian capital is ready to host matches of the confederations Cup in Moscow, said the Deputy mayor, head of the Department of transportation and development of road-transport infrastructure of the capital Maxim Liksutov.

«Summing up complex events that were in the government of Moscow, connected with preparation and holding of the confederations Cup and the world Cup, I want to say that not only transport infrastructure, but also our sports infrastructure is fully prepared to host these competitions,» — said Liksutov reporters on Thursday.

However, he noted that a lot of attention during training was paid to security and anti-terrorism protection.

«We have developed a very detailed plan of transport security. We carried out various exercises, training, and imitation of different situations. I can say that the entire transportation complex to host the confederations Cup and the championship ready,» he said.

The confederations Cup will be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi from June 17-July 2. The first ever world Cup in Russia will take place from 14 June to 15 July 2018. The tournament matches will be played in Moscow, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-don, Sochi and Yekaterinburg.
