The Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu said that he intends in coming days to visit Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in search of solutions to the Qatari crisis.

The Turkish foreign Minister stated he was headed to Kuwait after his visit to Qatar on Wednesday. «I also plan to visit Saudi Arabia. The purpose of Ankara is clear — to contribute to the settlement of the crisis in and around Qatar,» Cavusoglu was quoted by the Anadolu news Agency.

According to him, Turkey does not distinguish between the countries of the Persian Gulf. The Minister recalled that the Turkish authorities have repeatedly expressed regret about recent events in the region.

Allegations that Qatar supports Iran, fundamentally flawed, he noted. «The greatest opposition to the policy of Tehran in the region have just Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar,» — said the Turkish Minister.

As an example, he cited the conflict in Yemen. «Qatar is opposed, when the coalition led by Saudi Arabia decided to launch an operation against the Pro-Iranian forces? The government of Qatar has repeatedly criticized in Tehran and in the international arena,» — said Cavusoglu.

According to him, in contrast to Qatar, a number of Gulf countries and Egypt has repeatedly supported the position of Russia and Iran that in the end «could push the Doha’s rapprochement with Tehran.»

Çavuşoğlu also noted that Turkey does not consider the Egyptian organization «Muslim brotherhood» and the Palestinian movement Hamas as a terrorist. «Ankara will not support any group that commits acts of terrorism», — the Minister added.

Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Egypt June 5, announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Qatar, accusing Doha of supporting terrorist organizations and destabilize the situation in the middle East. Power Eastern Libya, Yemen, Mauritania, and the Maldives and Mauritius subsequently also announced the severance of relations with Qatar.

Earlier, Cavusoglu said that Ankara is disappointed with the decision of some Arab countries to break diplomatic relations with Qatar and calls for continuing dialogue between them.
