European companies have transferred funds to Finance the «Nord stream — 2», told reporters Deputy Chairman of the Board «Gazprom» Alexander Medvedev.

«The funds, as planned, all came into the accounts of Nord Stream 2», — he said.

At the end of April 2 Nord Stream AG, and Shell, OMV, Engie, Uniper and Wintershall signed a financing agreement of the «Nord stream — 2». Gazprom said that European partners will provide the operator credits at a rate of 6% per annum until 2019. Thus itself «Gazprom» will Finance the construction under the same conditions.

Five companies have pledged to provide long-term financing of the project in the amount of up to 50% of the total value of 9.5 billion euros. While Shell reported that in 2017 the company will allocate for 285 million euros, but the remaining 665 million Euro will depend on the decisions of the Nord Stream 2 in relation to the total funding of the project.

The project «Northern stream — 2» involves the construction of two pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas off the coast of Russia through the Baltic sea and to Germany. Nord Stream AG 2 is created for the planning, construction and subsequent operation of the pipeline.
