The law on waste management will enter into force in January 2019 and provides for utilization fees for the industry, as well as certain environmental contributions from the citizens of Russia, said Russian President Vladimir Putin during a straight line, noting that the system of deductions must be transparent and under public control.

«And second, that concerns citizens is foreseen (the law) that there will be some environmental allocations to be made and citizens, but the effect of these fees, it is not immediately visible, because you first need something to build on these resources, and then you will see the effect, and that’s all the time it was in doubt, and you will understand people, you need to do it? I want to appeal to all, who will do and does now – people will certainly understand if they see where the money goes, and this requires public control. By the way, I want to thank the Russian popular front (onf), which the province has created, there are hundreds of people already working, identify the most problematic things», — concluded Putin.

Decree of the President 2017 in Russia declared the Year of ecology. His goal is to draw attention to problems in the environmental field, and to improve the status of ecological security of the country.
