Court of arbitration for sport (CAS) dismissed the appeal of the Russian boxer Mikhail Aloyan against the deprivation of his silver medals in the 2016 Olympics because of the use of illegal drugs, according to the side of the court.

CAS in early December of 2016, said that Aloyan will be deprived of the silver Games in 2016 for doping, the athlete’s sample has tested positive for the tuaminogeptana. Personal trainer boxer Eduard Kravtsov explained that the athlete had a cold on gathering in Sochi and took drops permitted in the training process. In the proceedings in CAS found that Aloyan was not issued documents on the therapeutic exception, that is, had no right to use the drug.

In late December, the lawyer Artem Patsev said that appealed to the CAS. The court, having considered the appeal, decided to reject it and cancel the results of Aloyan from 15 to 21 August 2016. Thus, the Russian boxer lost his medal in Rio de Janeiro.
